Shellac flakes - ORANGE

Shellac is a natural resin, obtained from lac scale bug. Its boiling point is about 80-120 degrees Celsius.

Includes 3-5% of natural wax. Variants with wax are more matte, without wax is more transparent. For use in encaustic, there is a need to mix with alcohol and create a varnish. The highest quality of varnish is mixed out of Shellac flakes and matured for at least 2 days.

Shellac is physiologically safe, biologically degradable and odorless.

Use only for painting on encaustic board, never burn shellac on encaustic paper!!!

The use procedure is part of the shellac package.
