Pigment paints and encaustic media

Wax encaustic media with 5, 15 or 20% beeswax content.

The brick-shaped encaustic wax medium is actually an encaustic paint without pigment, designed for use with encaustic waxes as well as for stand-alone use.

The medium contains only high quality ingredients, such as 100% pharmaceutical grade beeswax, which, along with professional manufacturing, will allow you to achieve the desired combinations in your artwork.

It is used to mix two wax blocks or sticks together to create a new shade, or also to increase the transparency of the colour. The use of encaustic medium makes the wax film stronger, which prevents the paint from spreading.

It can also be used in American hot wax painting techniques, especially in collage. The wax is melted in a container and applied to the substrate with a brush. The rest of the process is up to your imagination.

Pigment paints are intended for the production of encaustic waxes, in combination with encaustic medium.

The offered pigment colors are highly heat and time stable. They are miscible with XXL encaustic waxes and can be combined to create a large number of shades.
