Description

Impasto modeling wax is a blend of microcrystalline waxes and beeswax, intended for sculptural purposes. It can be cast, carved, and layered to create a textural surface.

Impasto melting point is 79 °C, unlike encaustic wherein the melting point is about 72 °C. This temperature difference allows paint hot wax over the surface of the formed impasto without damaging or distorting the structure and shape of the modeled object.
