Wax encaustic medium with 15 % beeswax content.

Encaustic wax medium in the shape of a brick is actually an encaustic paint without pigment, designed for use with encaustic waxes as well as for stand-alone use.

The medium contains only high quality ingredients, such as 100% pharmaceutical grade beeswax, which, along with professional manufacturing, will allow you to achieve the desired combinations in your artwork.

It is used to mix two wax blocks or sticks together to create a new shade, or also to increase the transparency of the colour. Using an encaustic medium makes the wax film stronger, which prevents the paint from spreading.

It can also be used in American hot wax painting techniques, especially in collage. The wax is melted in a container and applied to the substrate with a brush. The rest of the process is up to your imagination.

Due to its 15 % beeswax content, the medium is suitable for mixing with light to medium-light colours.
